Should I spend money on Pay Per Click or is there something better?

Here is why you shouldn't waste your money on Pay Per Click (PPC)...

Pay Per Click is an online marketing medium that myself and the team at Jedi Web Services are not believers in. PPC is the last thing that I would recommend to any of my clients. I think it is a wait of money, especially when compared to other online advertising options.

Lets look at the facts. A few years ago the Nielsen Ratings determined that Pay Per Click Advertisements only get a 16% click through rate at the most. I don't think a lot has changed within the past 5 years but if they have I'll bet the odds are even worse. Also consider that often a paper click listing will be accompanied by say 3 more options on the right hand side. So lets now divide that 16% by 4. Now you only have a 4% chance that you get a "hit" from an onlooker.

But I only pay for each hit I receive and I like that I can see detailed reports on how many impressions, hits, etc... that I get. You say?

That's nice but what you will most likely find is that not many of those seem to turn in to new business because the 4% of those that click on your ads happens to be your competition checking you out, or curious people that might be in the same industry, developers looking for new ideas and designs, maybe someone doing a report on you industry, product, or service.

Most serious online shoppers don't pay attention a Pay Per Click Ads because no one really enjoys having advertisements push in our face no matter how targeted they are. There is something subconscious that tells us that the "Organic" listings on the left hand side of the first page are the best results for ones search. We tell ourselves those must be the leaders in that industry, or best choices to buy a product or service from. This may or may not be true on the surface, at first, but perception eventually becomes reality.

Don't get me wrong. There is no "bad" place to be on Google's first page. Some places are just much much better than others.

The Google Maps for example are in my educated opinion the absolute BEST place to be for any local business owner looking to get the attention of local clientele. This also works well for nation businesses that understand the power of taking the nation by storm one territory at a time or a few territories at a time.

Getting found in a natural organic placement on the left hand side under the map is very powerful but lets compare that to a Google map listing.

Organic S.E.O. is VERY expensive, takes months to get any results, if any, and their are no guarantees. It's actually taboo to offer a guarantee in the S.E.O. world.

Google Map Optimization through Jedi Web Services costs literally pennies to the dollar compared to any repeatable S.E.O. campaign. Their is also a very nice perk to getting your website optimized withing the Google Maps through Jedi Web Services. That's confidence in knowing that any and every time someone searches for one of your keyword within your selected cities you will ALWAYS appear on Google's first page 24/7 next to the map at the top of the page. We even offer a money back guarantee. (BTW, we have never had any client ask for a refund because we always over deliver) No other company can accomplish such amazing results within weeks and offer such a guarantee with exception to our Sister company Local Online Business Development, LLC.

PS.) We are admittedly breaking the norm by offering a guarantee but you should know that our Google Map Optimizations are not the same as your typical S.E.O. We are not actually optimizing your website. We are optimizing Google Business Profiles and simply linking your website to it. We have a lot more control over this kind of optimization and have been working closely with Google for many years to perfect our Google Map Optimizations and we are, we'll pardon my French but, we're "Damn" good at it!

Media Advertising Is Dead!

Advertising and Marketing

Media advertising is dead. Forget newspapers, radio, TV and yellow pages. Are there rare exceptions? Of course. Yellow pages still work in resort areas where vacationing condo owners don’t have friends to ask for a recommendation. TV can work for multi-million-dollar businesses with savvy, innovative managers. But, on the main, media is dead.

So, if media doesn’t work any longer, what does? Only two things work today, and are likely to work for years to come: the Internet, in all its forms, and person-to-person activities.

Internet Websites, Search Engines, and Pay Per Click

It once was pretty simple. Throw up a Website for $500 to $2,000 as an online brochure. Unlike printed brochures, you didn’t have to reorder after 1,000 customers viewed it. Unlike a TV ad, it didn’t disappear after 30 seconds. Websites, online day and night, 24 /7/365, have been a place for customers to learn about you after they know who you are. Once you got your story the way you wanted, you could leave your Website alone and let it work for you. That was then. This is now.

Today, everyone has a Website. You cannot afford to pay for print or broadcast advertising to create awareness and send customers to your Website. In days gone by newspaper advertising would give you immediate leads and pay for itself, and your weekly ad would create residual, long-term awareness so customers would call you. Today you can’t afford this repetition. That means no one knows who you are. If they don’t know your name, they won’t call you.

Today, search engine optimization (SEO) is crucial for customers to find you. When customers search Google for a product you sell—say draperies, blinds or motorization—and then enter your city or ZIP code, you want to be one of the top 10 listings right next to Google’s map of your area. The problem is it takes more than money to make it work. You must constantly change your Website, add blogs and post to them frequently, you must add new pages or Google’s bots crawling the Internet will pay you
no mind.

To get results, prepare to invest up to $1,000 monthly or be part of a manufacturer or industry group or franchise that knows and understands this medium.

If your business deals only in a local demographic you have the same problem but luckily there's a very affordable solution. As a local business you want to make sure that your business is listed and found within Googles Local Searches also known as Google Maps.

Anyone can submit their business listing to Google Local for free and it is highly recommended but being listed doesn't mean that you will show  on Googles first page. In fact, it's very unlikely that you will have any first page local placement on Google Maps with out being optimized and your listing maintained. If you some how do get that lucky you'll probably notice it took months to get there under one keyword and the fame is short lived do to Googles random algorithm change.

So how do you ensure that you get found on Googles first page every time someone searches your products and or services without selling your first child. We can help.
